Our company's web site uses IIS 6.0, ASP.NET and SQL server 2000 (all on one
server). We are planning to build fault-tolerat system with two equal
servers. NLB is best choice for web server, but for SQL server is better
cluster (active-pasive).

Whitch cluster technology (nlb or cluster) should we choose?

hi rok!

in your situation i would install cluster with web services activated. you
can create to cluster groups, one for iis and one for sql server.

SQL has to be a server cluster as there is a shared storage requirement. I
agree that IIS should be its own separate NLB cluster.
