I'm experiencing a loss of network connectivity with my servers in a
network load balanced cluster. At random times, one of my NLB servers
will become unavailable to users and I will not be able to logon to it
remotely with a network account. I have to logon with a local account,
and disable the network card that has the NLB setup on it. At this
point the server is able to communicate with the network through the
other NIC. To get the server back on the NLB, I have to reboot it with
the NLB NIC disabled, then re-enable it when the server is back up.

This is the error I receive in the event log:
----------------------------------------------------------------
Event Type: Error
Event Source: NETLOGON
Event Category: None
Event ID: 5719

This computer was not able to set up a secure session with a domain
controller in domain "MY_DOMAIN" due to the following:

request.
This may lead to authentication problems. Make sure that this computer
is connected to the network. If the problem persists, please contact
your domain administrator.

ADDITIONAL INFO
If this computer is a domain controller for the specified domain, it
sets up the secure session to the primary domain controller emulator in
the specified domain. Otherwise, this computer sets up the secure
session to any domain controller in the specified domain.

These NLB servers are Win2003, and the Domain Controller is an NT4
server.

Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks

hi scott!

look to the right binding order of your network cards.... you find that at
network connections - advanced and than network cards and bindings... there
need to be the local privat network card the first one...

Thanks for the tip Gerald. I changed my binding order and have not had
another problem yet, but sometimes I can go a week without an incident.
