Hello,
hopefully somebody can help me  . I have the following situation:
windows 2003 domain dfs with xp clients. the users complain about perfomance problems when the open a file via the dfs share (\\dfsroot\share). it takes up to 30 seconds to open a 40kb excel sheet. the performance issue only occurs straight after the users have newly logged on. after the first access perfomance seems to be better for a while but can become worse after some time.
the problem seems not to occur when the user directly access the share on the server (\\server\share).
