One of my users is ranting about the view when she opens up a document from
sharepoint in word/excel it opens up as a "web view" instead of a "detail
view".

Does anybody know how I can change the view so that it opens as a detail
view all the time in office 2003?

TIA,

Jackson

Thanks for responding back but I think I might not have been too clear on my
side of the question. I also had to ie to open up office documents in their
respective programs instead of Internet explorer.

The problem my user is complaining about is that when she goes to her
'mysite' private documents in word (There is a mysite shortcut when she
goes to word -> file -> open) it always opens up as a web view. Is there
anyway to change that view so that it can always open up as a detail view?

Thanks again for the responding,

Jackson

Did you ever figure this out? I have been struggling with this for days. I can set it as an admin via windows explorer settings but, users can't.
