Request data from Microsoft Exchange Server |
|

Hi all,
Not sure which forum to put this post.
Overview:
My company is having 2 sites, using 2 different domains but trusted. The 2 sites are connected via a 512K lease line. Only one exchange server is set up at site A.
Problem:
When users from site B try to send/receive mails or to retrieve address book, they often encounter an error message as below:
Requesting data from Microsoft Exchange Server
Outlook is retrieving data from the Microsoft Exchange Server "XXXXX". You can cancel the request or minimize this message to the Windows taskbar until Outlook closes the message automatically.
Is it because of the 512K bandwidth being not capable to support 20 users at site B? or is there some settings at the server side? Is there any ways to improve the current situation? Please advise.
Is it more advisable to subscribe a 1MB lease line instead, or to add another 512K lease line to create another path?
Please help. Many thanks in advance. |
