We are currently replacing a couple of old Linux servers running as a workgroup with a Win2003 domain.

We are having issues migrating some local machine accounts to domain accounts.

Some local machine accounts I have copied across using the "copy profile" on system properties tab of the machine and the user logs into the domain, sees their documents etc etc and all is OK.

But I have some users (me included, mostly power users on local machine) where they have obviously installed software etc where registry/ini file entries etc all point to there old account name. ie new proflile user is say ian_m.domain, but registry entries point to just ian_m.

This obviously causes issues when the old ian_m profile is deleted.

So basically any pointers on how to migrate "complicated" workgroup local accounts to domain accounts ? (I looked at ADMT , sounded ideal but is for domain to domain migration not workgroup to domain).
