I am trying to deploy .NET Framework 2.0 across over a couple hundred
systems at once through group policy. We did this in the past with 1.0 and
1.1 perfectly fine. I am following the instructions on

http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/support/AdminReadme/default.aspx

mainly the section that says 3.2 Deploying a component using Active
Directory

I only need .net framework 2.0 to deploy...

I did everything it said (which is exactly what we did for 1.0 and 1.1) and
when it installs it fails... and the error it comes back with is

Product: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 -- 1: ALLUSERS property is not 1 -
this MSM cannot be used for a per-user or fallback-to-per-user install 2:

why is that coming back?! We need this intalled urgently.. we have
applications that depend on it waiting for this to be installed network
wide. thanks for any help you can give!

Brian-
Just a few questions. How are you deploying this? Are you using a transform?
Is there a merge module (.msm) involved? Is this a published or assigned
app? Per user or per computer? The ALLUSERS propery typically controls
whether the installation is done per-user or per-computer, depending upon
the privileges of the installing user.
