Hi,

I have a 2 node file server cluster with 4 virtual servers.
In normal regime, each physical node has 2 virtual servers. Example:
Node 1:
- Virtual Server A
- Virtual Server B
Node 2:
- Virtual Server C
- Virtual Server D

Now, it is possible to access a share that was created in virtual
server A by both
\\Virtual Server A\share
\\Virtual Server B\share

If C and D are moved to Node 1, one can access the share also through
these virtual servers...

Clearly, the translation is made to the shares that reside on the
physical node. Can one prevent this type of behaviour ?

That is how virtual shares work, hence the first word being virtual :) Which
ever server is doing the actual sharing will also be exposed to the public
and thus could be called upon, instead of using the Virtual Server name.
