RE: GPMC on 64-bit windowx xp pro to manage server |

Hello Brian,
See this article:
304718 How to use the Administration Tools Pack to remotely administer
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=304718
In particular this portion:
Windows cannot find ?gpedit.msc?. Make sure you typed the name
correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start
button, and then click Search.Modify the syntax of your command line or
shortcut to use the following syntax:
%windir%\syswow64\mmc.exe %systemroot%\system32\dssite.msc -32
Since MMC snap-ins can contain additional snap-ins, there can be 32-bit and
64-bit snap-ins listed any one particular snap-in.
so you are starting either a 32-bit or 64-bit MMC.exe.
When both 32-bit and 64-bit snap-ins are hosted you are presented with the
dialog box selector.
It can usually make one jump, but sometimes a snap-in hosts other snap-ins
which in turn host a snap-in, so multiple transitions from 32-bit to 64-bit
to 32-bit back to 64-bit for example may have issues inside a single
snap-in call.
Thanks,
