My Mac users are complaining that they are unable to access the Sharepoint
Web portal using Safari. I am publishing the portal through my ISA server
and using basic authentication. I confirmed the problem and then tried
Firefox on the Mac, which worked fine. Should I blame the problem on Safari?
or a misconfiguration?

It's amazing that nobody has an easy answer for this one. Does anybody know
of Safari being compatible with Sharepoint when using SSL?
Does anyone have Mac users accesing their Sharepoint server? If so, are
your Mac users as stubborn as mine who think it's my fault they can't connect.

Dude:

The latest version of Safari is alledged to have better support for
'Websites' and other such things. In the past it was also be necessary to
change some Safari settings to support Sharepoint security; this
unfortunately required some ugly (for a Mac user) Unix command line stuff. I
would like to work with you all on this as I am hoping to implement
Sharepoint in my environment early in 06.
