Before installaing LCS 2005 in production , I would like to test LCS 2005 in
a Dev environnement.

We have 2 identical domain ...NOT trusting each other.

I want to setup LCS in my DEV domain.
I want to install communicator client in my PROD domain.

Can that work without any trust and without using TLS (TCP will only be
used)

Is that configuration supported by MS?

Regards

As far as I know, TCP will only work for Internal communication. As soon as
you try to communicate with other domains, you will need to have Federation
enabled and configuared, as well as use TLS instead of TCP.

You will have an acocunt in the DEV domain for each user in the PROD domain I
assume?? This should work fine - you would need to configure your LCS servers
to authenticate NTLM only so that it will prompt for credentials, and then
the LCS enabled credentials in the DEV domain will need to be used, but that
scenario should work ok.
