Unable to delete "Topics" Area??

I am trying to delete Topics area so that the left navigation bar will show
all the area list under Home.

System is not allowing me to delete "Topics" area or any of it's sub-areas.

Getting error message - "The current operation could not be completed.
Please try again or consult your system administrator."

Any ideas why???
