Sharepoint services writeprotect the contact |
|
|
When i create a contact list in sharepoint and link it to outlook I can't
create new contacts in outlook. It says the sharepoint contacts is
writeprotected. I've tried to manage the site and give unauthenticated users
access to modify. Also have activated anonymous access in IIS.
Im using a Small Business Server 2003 EN with all servicepacks and a swedish
language template on my main companywebsite.
Greatful for help. Is there any good books to recommend about share point
services.

The view of SharePoint contact lists is Outlook is read only. There is no
way around this.
The SharePoint Productes and Technologies Resource Kit is is great.
BTW, Small Business Server in uses Windows SharePoint Services, not
SharePoint Portal Server. So, in the future, you might wish to post to
eeither the microsoft.public.sharepoint.windowsservices or
microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs groups. You also might want to take a
look here for some info on the differences between WSS and SPS:

This is a real disappointment in Sharepoint. It is messy to go in to
sharepoint and add every contact. It should be easy to do it from the outlook
with just a rightclick as usual for the domain users.
