Hi,
I did installed MOM 2005 workgroup and it working fine i recevie alert, just
i do not get any mail notification.
may be i am doing some thing wrong, i did the steps that i recieve from some
of you.
i did these steps:
1.create en Operator.
2.Add the FQDN mail server to the Global setings.
3.Add the Operator to the all of the notifications group.
4.In the Admin Console> Menegment packs>Rule groups> DNS servers>Windows
2003 DNS server> Alerts Rule>send e-mail if service is unavailable. and i did
add en network admin notification group to get e mail voor this Alert.
but still i do not get any mail. what i doing wrong here?

You can try to add the Response to the Event rule that generate the alert

Thanks for reply,
I did recieve e-mail from MOM, now i start to understand the concept.
from what i understand, i did disable the SQL service and after about 15 min
i got en mail. but when i try that for the second time i did not recieve any
mail, i thing it has some thing to do with timeing, now could you tel me how
can i make the mom to don't wait for next sync time and do that right away?

Hi alert is a thing, notify an operator is another one, u have to set up
those.

it is normal u receive only a mail per raised alert, so the first time
an alert popup, u got a mail.
Next times, the alert counter is updated but you don't receive mail.
U must close the alert to receive new mail.
