just to expand a little on TT's idea.
Comparing the cost of moving from your current SBS 2000 to standard servers
vs moving to SBS2003 on a new box (and throw in Swing docs), the new box,
upgrade SBS and hardware, time, trouble, is likely to come out STREETS
ahead.
Current hardware can easily handle all SBS on a single box for a large
number of users. The only reason you should be looking at 'transitioning' to
multiple servers is if you are approaching, and expect to surpass, SBS
limitations.
Just out of interest, what are the current server specs. CPU, RAM, and HDD
subsystem type being the main points of interest.

I have sbs2000 set up with exchange2000 on a single server that is old
and
running out of space. I would like to add a new Server, install windows
2003
and exchange 2003 use the move method to move the mailboxes to the new
server, then remove exchange 2000 from the sbs 2000 server.
After that is complete I would like to upgrade the sbs2000 server to
windows 2003 leaving it to just handle AD, DHCP & DNS
I see plenty of articles on migrating exchange 2000 to 2003 but no
mention
if sbs is going to add any complications to the process. Also if the
new
windows 2003 server which is going to get exchange is just a domain
member
does the AD article about running adprep and forest prep on the sbs 2000
apply.
Thanks
Rich
