How to delete records from MOM db via query ? |
|
|
My SQL grooming job fails. I launch it manually from Enterprise Manager and
it fails.
Going to the \MSSQL\Data folder, I observed that the SQL Onepoint db.mdf is
at 27GB. The db is set to 27GB maximum in Enterprise Manager.
How can I solve this ?
Should I attempt to delete "records" from the MOM db manually to make some
room for this SQL Onepoint db ? If so, please send me query I should use to
delete such records.

Yes, partition for the SQL db is 90GB.
I have 35GB available free space, 55GB in use now. I don't see any
indication of lack of free disk space. No relevant errors in eventvwr
either.
Just the grooming job continues to fail.

I mean in your onepoint db. I assume you set it up to be a certain size,
then ensured it is not set to autogrow. So when you look at the db in SQL
Ent Manager you should be able to see how much space is used and what is
free, plus from the management server there is a perf counter that you can
bring up that will tell you the free space of your one point db. What value
is that?
If, when grooming starts, you don't have enough free space in the onepoint
db, then you may have to temporarly let your db autogrow, groom, then take
off autogrow.
