Hi folks

I'm getting alerts on an exchange2003 server that I'm monitoring and would
like some help.

"Unable to read the performance counter strings of the 00c language ID. The
Win32 status returned by the call is the first DWORD in Data section."

It is being picked up by the base OS MP and is event ID 3006

any advice would be greatly appreciated

The error is appearing with a number of different language IDs.

I have an english install of the OS and exchange and mom. The KB suggests
that I check for the perc009.dat file in system32. I think 009 is the
english ID and it is present. Why is it looking for other languages?

I know I should not really answer my own questions but....

ran lodcrt /r from the cmd line and it loaded all the language .dats
for me.

why they were not there in the first place...who knows?
