Hi Vishal

I have seen this issue with routers needing firmware upgrades.

What Client is coneccting to what site i.e XP on 2000SBS network connecting
to another SBS2000 site, if so any events at remote site event viewer? (vpn
logging switched on?)

You disconnect if your not using the connection. The way I get around this
is maintain my outlook open, its always looking for the server and in effect
maintaines the connection active.
Hope this helps.
