Confusion re: active dir-integrated dns |
|
|
I have a single forest, single domain Server 2003 network with one
server that is a domain controller and a dns server. I wanted to add
fault tolerance for the DNS and DC, so I added another server as a
second domain controller (using dcpromo). Then installed DNS service on
the new DC. When I went to the DNS console to configure the zone
transfer I discovered all the zone info was already in place. Both DNS
servers are listed as type active-directory integrated primary. Is the
synchronization automatic between both DNS servers using AD? |

Yes, it is since you are using AD integrated DNS.

So does this mean that my DNS and AD service is now fault tolerant w/o |
further action on my part? TIA |
