MOM Script Editing |
|
|
The script editing window in MOM has no copy, cut, paste and no ability to
export or import scripts and the window can't be resized. These issues make
it very difficult to work with scripts. This seems to me to be *very poor*
design and really hampers my plans to use MOM. It's hard for me to
understand how these features were left out of the script editing
window...OR...am I missing something here?

Re: MOM Script Editing |

Hi there
use ctrl + c and ctrl + v to copy and paste..
write in notepad and paste in mom :-)
or use something like primal script with syntax highligthing, that makes
your work so much easier.
best regards

Re: MOM Script Editing |

I wouldn't edit scripts in MOM, I would download the mom resource kit. Then
I would use visual studio or a full blown editor/debugger to create and edit
the scripts. Then use the tools in the mom resource editor to test the
scripts. Then once complete load the scripts into MOM...

Re: MOM Script Editing |

I've looked at the Resource Kit and I don't see any "resource editor". I've
seen references to script response testing tool in the MOM 2005 SDK doc, but
after installing 2005 reskit, I don't seen any script testing tool or
resource editor...

The script testing tool mentioned in the SDK will be available in a future
release of the MOM 2005 Resource Kit. It wasn't ready for the initial
release. You can still use the built-in script debugging and tracing
features.
