I have been told that HIS 2004 does not have a DB2 provider on the Itanium
64-bit platform.

Can anyone confirm this?

Correct.

Our next release will have full 64bit support.

You "might" be able to run the HIS 2004 provider in wow64 subsystem, but
there could be issues. The HIS 2004 server components (services) are not
supported in this enviroment.

Thanks Charles,

I guess we are stuck with IBM's DB2 Connect product.

I'm trying to get verification on what would/would not be supported. I know
32-bit services/drivers can be a problem on IA64 systems (drivers are not
supported, thus the reason our services would not be (snaserver, snalink, no
dlc for 64bit, no SDLC drivers, etc.....all due for HIS 2006).

Ok, what will be supported will be X64. IA64 is not and will not be
supported.
