My tape drive died and waiting for a replacement. I temporarily use Windows
Backup to backup certain folders and setup the the job to run on a schedule
time. Is there a way to view the log to see what was backup. I tried looking
in the Application Log but do not see anything.

Thanks

Hi Joe,

I think this is what you want...

Log on under with the credentials of the user you used to set up the
NTbackup job. Then right click on Start | Explore. On the top menu, click
on Tools | Folder Options | View | Hidden File and Folders | (click on the
radio button for) Show hidden files and folders | Apply | OK.

Then in the left pane:

Documents and Settings | (user account that created the backup job) | Local
Settings | Application Data | Microsoft | Windows NT | NTBackup | Data |
"backupname.log"

Put a shortcut on the desktop for either the Data folder or "backupname.log"
file and doubleclick on it to view the log(s).
