Re: User gets "Incorrect timezone settings" when logging usi |

Make sure that the time on the workstation, LCS Server, and PDC Emulator
FSMO role holder are within a few (5) minutes of each other. This usually
fixes this error message where the time zones are identical.
Usually, however, the error for this problem is this:
"Signing in to SIP communications Service failed because your computer clock
is not properly set. Please check in the Windows control panel to see if
the date and time are adjusted for Daylight Savings and the correct time
zone."
Note: I usually use www.time.gov when working with time for clients at
their desk. That way we are on similar pages. Some workstations are
configured to use the Windows Internet Time servers, but NTP traffic may be
blocked at the firewall. The Windows time and time.gov times are usually
within a second of each other.

all identical.
This user has not yet upgraded to XP SP2 - does this have an effect? |
