I need to show the prices for all shipping methods at the start of the
checkout processes. I am using shipping by weight method and our
products are fairly heavy and as a result the 2nd day air options can
increase rapidly so our marketing department would like to present our
shipping methods and their prices for the consumers to see before
actually choosing a method. How can I calculate the prices for each
method base upon the current basket?

Thanks,

You can either
1. Add the shipping components to the basket pipeline
2. Create a new pipeline that is based off of basket pipeline or product
pipeline and add the shipping components there.

The shipping components typically live in the Shipping stage of the
Total.pcf pipeline, but that doesn't mean you can't run them from a
different pipeline as long as all the requisite keys are populated in the
OrderForm.

I was afraid that was the solution.

I guess I will modify the pipeline to add up the cart weight so that I
could at least cache the prices for each method by total cart weight.
Thanks for the reply.
