Hi.

I have two Win2K3 Compaq DL580 Servers, geographically separated but on the
same VLAN. I use Emulex LP8000 HBAs onto a Clariion 4700 FC Array.

Both servers can see the disks, I've shown both of them the disks and they
have no problem. The problem arises when I try and add a second node to the
cluster, either way round. It cannot find the Quorum disk although I know
that it can see it. To be honest Logical Disk Manager is acting funny as it
tries to upgrade the disks and initialize them. It's as if the CLuster
service on my primary node is masking the disks too well.

Please help! I've tried everything!

Sorry, I should have mentioned. I know it can see the drive but it can't see
the partitions on there. See error message below.

\\.\PHYSICALDRIVE2' does not have any partitions and will not be managed

Thanks

Andy,

The following likely applies to your installation:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331801

This worked, thanks very much, cluster up and running nicely. We can now
work all weekend on a file server migration!
