DNS Server domain-udp to 192.175.48.1, ...6, ....42 |
|
|
Our Windows DNS Servers try communicate with the IP-Adresses 192.175.48.1,
192.175.48.42 and 192.175.48.6 each minute (visble in the Firewall-Log).
I would like to stop this unnecessary traffic.
How can I do?
What is the reason for this tried communication? |

1.48.175.192.in-addr.arpa. 3600 IN PTR prisoner.iana.org. |
42.48.175.192.in-addr.arpa. 3600 IN PTR blackhole-2.iana.org.
6.48.175.192.in-addr.arpa. 3600 IN PTR blackhole-1.iana.org.
Looks like your machines are trying to register in the Internet blackhole
servers for private IPs.
Create a reverse lookup zone for your private IP subnet is the simplest, or
disable PTR registrations on all your machines. Reverse lookup is not
necessary for domain communication..
