We are running ISA on our SBS2003 computer, but I am curious what is the
firewall that comes with SBS standard. Is it just RRS (is this what I mean,
can't remember the name of the service). How does it work with NAT ???

If this is the 'firewall', and it is not configured (not running), I would
think there could be not interaction with ISA. Having some weird things
happening since I reran the internet/mail wizard and am trying to further
understand how all this works together.

I think the wizard screwed up my DNS entries on my Nic's, will check later.

Thanks ...

John

Yes. It is RRAS and it does have NAT as a feature.

RRAS is a LAN Routing System,...NAT is simply one of its features that can
be used or not used.

When ISA is installed it will "take over" everything and you won't use RRAS
directly. When using ISA's VPN abilities it is actually configuring RRAS for
you "behind the scene" and is using RRAS as the "engine" for VPN.
