Multiple DNS Suffix |
|
|
I want to automatically provide multiple DNS suffix to my VPN clients, how
do I do this?
I ied to add it in the DHCP server scope option - DNS Suffix Search Order -
but I do not have the setting available to my VPN clients...
What am I missing? |

AFAIK you cannot. One connection may only have one DNS suffix.

This won't result in multiple DNS suffixes for the connection, but make
the clients use multiple suffixes to create FQDN when resolving a host
name. If for instance .example.net and .example.com is present, and you
try to resolve the IP address of a host named test, then you try to
resolve test.example.net and test.example.com as well.

I assume we're talking connection specific suffixes here.
This thread has been answered in the win2000.active_directory. A good
example of why you should multi-post not crosspost.
