Moving to dedicated Exchange from SBS 2003 |
|
|
We currently use SBS 2003 and its Exchange for email service. We are
slowly but surely growing out of SBS. We would like to install a
dedicated Exchange 2003 server for email and remove Exchange all
together from the SBS.
If you have any comments, cautions, words of wisdom, or whatever you
think might be helpful, I would greatly appreciate it. I've done
research myself and can't find anything to discourage me from doing
this. However, it's a pretty big change and I can't imagine it will
actually go as smoothly as what I've read indicates it will.
TIA,
Kris |

You do realise that replacing SBS Exchange with Exchange Server Standard
Edition gains you nothing?
If I was looking at implementing additional servers because I felt the SBS
was overworked Exchange would be about the last item I would wish to move
elsewhere.
In what way are you outgrowing SBS?
What is the motivation?
