I had SMTP mail working fine for a long tim, but had to reset my DSL modem.
On the modem previously, I had to enable port 25 forwarding to get SMTP mail
working. Yesterday, I reconfigured the DSL modem, forwarding port 25, but
still get not mail. I can telnet into my SBS Exchange from outside and also
sent a test SMTP message from ZoneEdit, which I got.

I also re-ran the SBS wizard and all necessary ports on the router are open.
I don't know where the link is failing, but I had once a website where we
could do lot of testing. Anybody has suggestions on what this site maybe or
how I can troublshoot?

Can you post your ip/domain info? We can test some.

Hi Attila!

Maybe these are the sites you are talking about?
www.dnsstuff.com and www.dnsreport.com

If you can telnet (and send a message) from the outside to your SBS server
via port 25... then the problem most likely are the MX/A records (maybe the
IP changed when you reset the DSL modem?).

Just in case you don't have the exact testing procedure for Telnet, here is
what you have to do (from a computer outside your lan):

Telnet x.x.x.x 25 (where x.x.x.x is the public IP address or dns address of
the sbs box)
EHLO someotherdomain.com [enter]
MAIL FROM: someuser@someotherdomain.com [enter]
RCPT TO: user@yourdomain.com [enter]
DATA [enter]
SUBJECT: TEST [enter][enter]
TEST MESSAGE [enter]
.. [enter]
QUIT

Then verify that user@yourdomain.com has recieved the test message.

A big thank you to Javier, and to you Marcia for the help

After my DSL modem was setup, it got a whole new IP address, and although I
set up everything correctly, and my dynamic IP updater showed it had the new
IP address, it never upated it on DynDns.Org's website.
I used dyndns.org to host my custom dns, and it still had the old IP.

Thanks again for clearing my mental block. Mail is coming in!
