HIS 2000, sp2 server, one of four in subdomain.
Client connecting to HIS from W2k Terminal Services/Citrix XPa, sp2. WBT
device.
Assign LU to a configured user(domain usr) - shows up in SNA manager as all
set.
Configure 3270 connection in client session - shows the assigned LU in
drop-down list.
Attempt to connect - "LU not associated with user." error on client.
App Log on server shows:
Id 716 - "Unsecured cient connection..."
ID 1006 - "Unable to loak config info..."
ID 731 - "Access denied to LUxxx for ser xxxxx..."
I can assign and connect with LU's from all other servers in ths subdomain.
Just not a particular range of LU's on this particular server. I can assign
LU's from this server that are in teh same connection.
Any ideas?

Odd. Are the terminal server and the user account in the same domain?

On the terminal server is HIS 2000 client installed in admin/service mode
perhaps? If that was the case, and the snabase service was running under
localsystem, that would explain the errors. For encryption to occur the
connection has to be made from a proper domain account. So either snabase
service runs under a user account, or HIS client is installed in per user mode,
so that snabase.exe runs as an exe (not service) for each user individually.

All servers and users in one domain. HIS client installed in user mode.
The fact that I can assign successfuly assign LU's frome the same
connection/server is baffeling. I wonderif there si some sort of cached
security access list for this particuar LU.

I think you're going to need an SNA trace to try and figure out what's going on.
