My computer was working fine until I updated my system with Windows XP
Professional from the "Windows Update" that I received. Eventually, my
computer locked up, and I wasn't able to get it into a shop for repair, so I
reformatted the drive and bought a new copy of Windows XP Home Edition. I
installed it per the on screen directions and now I have no sound. I've used
the onscreen Troubleshooting with no results. As a result, there is a
conflict with my Yahoo Messenger and I receive error messages that are not
only annoying, but eventually close down my messenger. The error message
reads "Internet Explorer Script Error": Line 482, Char 24, Library Not
Registered, Code 0, URL: file://C:\DOCUME~1\Steven\LOCALS~1\Temp\TMPA.tmp
and I have no clue what this is all about. Thanks for your help.
