I would apreciate some help from you guru's out there. The Document
Shared Workspace feature in Office 2003 is a fantastic way to
colaborate on a document. The best part is that you cna save a local
copy and keep a link the the sharepoint site so you can keep them
synchronized.

Using the Shared Workspace feature creates a new Sharepoint site. That
can be a problem if one site has many documents.

Is there any way that you can use the Shared Workspace feature and the
ability to link a local copy to a Site, without actually creating a new
Site, rather linking it to a shared library on an existing Site?

This would be a great feature / utility if someone wants to build it

No.

That's the way they designed it.
