MpCop reports these errors when checking Management Pack |
|
|
Hi,
I created some rules, views, tasks and exported them with the MOM2005 Export
Wizard as a new management pack. Then I used the MpCop tool to check this new
pack.
The tool reports two types of error.
[1] Management pack contains classes from other management packs
List of Violations (totally 15)
Potentially Spurious Relationship found: [MOM Server-Agent Nodes
Group]
Potentially Spurious Relationship found: [MOM Server-Agent Nodes
Group]
......
Potentially Spurious Relationship found: [MOM Server]
[2]Rules with "Copy of" in rule name
List of Violations
Test Failure: 'Copy Of' found in ClassAttribute: with name:
[Copy of Agent Version]
All these violations are saying that the management pack include some
definition from MOM, but I only picked the rules, views created by myself.
Is this a false alarm from the MoCop tool? If not, how could I get rid of
these definitions from the management pack. It seems that the export wizard
inserted some stuff into the pack. |

You can ignore [1]
[2] is a valid issue. Do you have any MP which contains the "Agent Version"
Class Attribute other than the MOM MP

Yes, I enabled authoring mode so that I could use the Knowledge Authoring.

Thanks for your reply.
No, I did not have any MP contains "Copy of" other than MOM MP. After
converting my management pack to XML, it seems a class name from MOM itself
contains "Copy of".
<ClassAttribute CLSID="{4370DD6C-C4B0-45D9-AF1A-C01BCD35A518}">
<AttrID>{56BA874C-8DAD-4E55-9353-560D281E487E}</AttrID>
<ClassID>{21CC9CDE-0C86-465E-87FC-1F6F0A3DE3C9}</ClassID>
<Name>Copy of Agent Version</Name>
<Description>The Agent Version of this MOM Agent.</Description>
<TimeAdded TimeString="08/21/03 12:34:02">37854.731968287</TimeAdded>
<LastModified TimeString="08/21/03 12:34:02">37854.731968287
</LastModified>
</ClassAttribute>
