Historical snapshots |
|
|
Our company keeps only 90 days worth of data. This is not going to
change because of the amount of data we have, if anything it will
become smaller.
I think it would be helpful to be able to keep snapshots of data for
certain servers on certain days. End of month, End of quarter, End of
year, certain key days during the month etc.
Lets say that a particular server is really only used once a quarter
for some processing. I would like to be able to go back and see the
trend on that server over the past 4 quarters. Trend analysis will help
in justifying purchases and in planning for those purchases.
Is it possible to do this in MOM 2005? |

You can use the MOM 2005 SDK Views for this. These are
programmatically-accessible views to the MOM operational database data. You
can get the SDK at:
http://www.microsoft.com/mom/downloads/sdk/default.mspx
