The docs are wrong. You need ADODB.dll, namespace ADODB. You can find
this out by using ildasm on the interop assembly in question
(mscsupslib.dll).
In the manifest it has this reference:
assembly extern ADODB
{
.publickeytoken = (B0 3F 5F 7F 11 D5 0A 3A ) //
?_....:
.ver 7:0:3300:0
}

I have to use assembly reference which has ADODB26Lib namespace; (see, for
example,
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/csvr2002/ht
m/cs_rp_profileobject_net_stqn_b.asp)
Does anybody have an idea where I can find this assembly?
Thank you,
Alex |

Thank you very much, David. I am just wondering why did they make mistakes
like this. |

That's a valid question. We are removing all the interop* docs (for PIAs)
for the next release. Several areas will be fully managed code end to end,
and in others some minimum amount of interop still bleeds through. At any
rate, the feeling is that the docs on the PIAs don't add much value since
they're simply autogenerated from the COM dlls which are already documented
(and they're riddled with errors like this).
