Empty.root and test.domain - Only installs to Root Domain in |

Hello.
We have 4 machines. 1 is the domain controller with active directory, 1 is
the SQL server, 1 is the Live Comm server, and 1 for testing. In active
directory we use an empty.root scheme, and have a test domain,
hometown.domain. All have static IP address's.
We can get the test lab up and running, albeit with some tweaking, but then
we we run the Live Comm console, we can only see the root domain, our second
domain, which the computer is a group of, never materializes. In other
words, we can get Live Comm in the root, but not in the child domains. What
are we doing wrong????/
