Microsoft has not yet released any additional public information regarding
LCS and connectivity to the AOL, MSN, and Yahoo! IM services. Generally the
resident Microsoft folks or the resident MVP posts a link to the
information.
There have been several threads regarding the ability to federate with the
external IM vendors. This is particularly important for companies and
organizations who are required to log all electronic communications due to
<insert law, memo, act name, etc.>, who have users and customers who use
external IM vendors for communications, and do not want to give up that
communication path.
