Can't login to domain |
|
|
Hello all,
I have a small network at home, setup on a domain. All of a sudden, this
evening when I turn on my client computer, I can't login into the domain. It
states the domain is down, or my computer doesn't have permmision.
I know it a computer thing, my other client works fine. I can log on
locally, but not on the domain. My domin computer seems to be fine, I made a
new user, still nothing. Any thoghts?
Thanks! |

Can you ping the domain controller by name from your workstation?
Have you checked the event logs on the workstation (presuming it's
NT-based)? |

Thanks for the quick response Lanwench!
I couldn't ping my domain. I did get back in just now. I logged in as a
local, went back to a workgroup, and then rejoined the domain. For some
reason my trust between the two became screwed up, not sure what. But,
thanks again for the quick tip!!

You're welcome - glad you got it resolved. If this happens again, look at
your event logs for clues.
