Hi,
I'm having trouble with an installation of LCS I'm doing at the moment. The
Address Book service will not activate correctly and fails with following
error:

Scheduled AD re-sync for ABS attributes: Failure [0x80070005] Access is Denied

There is nothing in the event logs, no service errors (this happens before
the service is started) and no failures are logged in the security log. I've
done four or five test installations and never had the same problem. If
anyone has any ideas any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Tom

It looks like I've fixed this now... it turns out that the
RTCDomainServerAdmins group hadn't been given write permission to the
'ABAttribute' table in the backend database for some reason. Strange.

I've added those rights now and the installation seems to be working fine.

hi there TJB,

i have this exact same problem! however, i don't know where to add this RTCDomainServerAdmins group permission to the table. Is this the local rtc ODBC database or the LcsLog database that is on the SQL server?

if you could let me know how you did this exactly i would be most appreciative!

thanks
