Hi. I am using 2003 server. I have to targets for my domain DFS root. When I
right click on the DFS root, I see an option for configuring replication,
just as if it where a link.
What will this do if I configure it? What is the difference between this and
just configuring the two root targets?
What does it replicate?
Thansk

Don't do it. Just configure two root targets but don't store any user data
in the roots.

There are numerous downsides to storing data in a root and enabling FRS on
it. See the DFS FAQ at
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/techinfo/overview/dfsfaq.mspx.
The question you want is called "Q. If I use multiple root targets in a
domain-based DFS namespace, do I need to enable replication on the root?"
