This may sound dumb but I need to check and the Internet hasn't helped so
far.

I need to know if you can use DFS to replicate database absed files such as
MDB's and so on.

If anyone knows a link as I could do with proof of this to show the boss.

Many thanks in advance

Your boss may be thinking of Offline Files, and Synchronisation, which does
not handle database-type files like mdb, nsf or pst.
DFS does handle these files. It excludes tmp and bak. Also strangely it does
not replicate files where only the name has changed.
Try this link:

While FRS will replicate .MDB files you should keep two things in mind - FRS
works at the file level, so a single change in the MDB file would cause FRS
to replicate the entire file. Secondly, FRS uses a last-writer-wins
technique so you would need to ensure that only one of the replicated files
was being worked on at any point.
