Is it possible to replicate file to different domain ??

I have 2 servers, server1 and server2 each belonged to different domain,
when I try to config Server1 FRS to replicate files to Server2, it shows
"access deny", Don't know how to resolve this situation.

FRS can replicate files across domains, but those domains must be in
the same forest. The errors you are seeing are likely because the
account under which you are running dfsgui.msc does not have
sufficient access to AD and/or servers.

The following is from the DFS FAQ at
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/techinfo/overview/dfsfaq.mspx.

Q. Can I enable FRS replication on a DFS link whose targets are in
different domains?

A. Yes, if you are a member of the Enterprise Admins group, you can
configure FRS replication on a DFS link whose targets are in different
domains in the same forest. If you are not a member of the Enterprise
Admins group, permissions must be configured as follows:

• You must have Read and Create All Child Objects permissions for the
computer object of each computer that will be part of the replica set.

• You must be a member of the local Administrators group on each
computer that will be part of the replica set.

• You must have Read and Create All Child Objects permissions for the
File Replication Service container and all its child objects. Although
the File Replication Service container can exist in every domain, you
must add these permissions to the File Replication Service container
that is in the domain where the domain-based root is configured.

If any of these permissions are not configured correctly, you will get
an Access Denied message when you try to enable replication by using
the Configure Replication Wizard in the Distributed File System
snap-in.

Please post FRS related questions to
microsoft.public.windows.server.dfs_frs and prefix the subject line
with "FRS:" to make it easier to spot. Note that FRS is used to
replicate SYSVOL on domain controllers and DFS root and link targets.

For additional FRS resources, please visit
http://www.microsoft.com/frs.
