w2k servers sp4.

where is the correct place/s to setup schedules for dfs data
replication?

i ask because our system is supposed to replicate dfs data shares from
6pm to 6am yet I amended a text file around lunch time to check
replication on 1 server and it was with the other servers well before
4pm when it should not have been time to start until 6pm.

If i recall correctly DFS schedual only stops IP transport for the sayd
time and smtp will "trickle" data all the time.
Hope im correct and this helps.

It's under the "Active Dir users and computers" under "system" "File
Replication Service | DFS Volumes" "Rootsharename" "Share" right click on
the name and go to properties and under the replica set tab you will see a
"Change Schedule"

I know it's not very simple :) they fixed it in win2k3

In article <usPn#pOzEHA.1296@TK2MSFTNGP10.phx.gbl>, na@na.com says...

is that the 'only' place for it? ...

i ask as we already have it configured for 6pm > 6am in that place yet
around midday i changed a text file in the dfs folder to test
replication and it changed on the other servers before the 6pm due time
to start, which is what confused me!
