OK, I am just setting up a new DFS root. Win2K is asking me which server
will host this DFS root. I thought that both my domain controllers would be
hosting this. Is this not correct?

Thanks

This is where your Root Target will live. The root Target houses all of your
"Link" folders. The "Link Folders" will have all the "Target" paths of file
storage locations ex. \\server\share. The Domain Controllers will have the
DFS Configuration and File Replication Service- DFS Volumes in the AD Users
and Computers under systems. So you should be able to connect to the DFS
Share with \\Domain Name\Root Target Name.

You can choose a domain controller if you want, but that is not a
requirement. You could also choose a member server.
