multiple Roots on one Server |
|
|
Hi, I will create 4 Roots in DFS on a primary Server W2003 (the link Shares
are on the same Server), is this not possible ?? i now in W2k it was
restrictet for just one root, but i think in W2003 it must be possible. the
first is going right and working good, but the second ... no way......

Creating multiple roots per server is only supported on the Enterprise and
Datacenter editions of W2K3. The Standard and Web editions of W2K3 only
support one root per server.

This change was made fairly late in the product cycle. It's possible William
finished his book before we shipped the product.
For more information about DFS and FRS, see our website at
www.microsoft.com/dfs.
