Hi,
Does anyone have a link to the ADAM/SSL whitepaper that Dmitri and
others have mentioned here on the group?

I would much appreciate it, as we are having nothing but trouble trying
to connect over 636/SSL.

thanks,
Chris

I don't think so. I got the impression there was something specifically
written regarding setting up SSL certificates, etc.

I've read the FAQ and tried that procedure but still cannot connect
over 636. One thing about that information is that I cannot locate the
"ADAM certificate store" anywhere within the Certificate MMC plugin.
Thanks though.

Hi,
you might want to have a look at

http://groups.google.co.uk/groups?hl=en&lr=&selm=%23rLgdSjqEHA.4008%40TK2MSFTNGP14.phx.gbl

which works for me.

As regards getting into the ADAM certificate store you need to specify
that the snap-in is managing a service account:

On the Certificates Snap-in Check Service Account, Click Next
on the Select Computer popup Check Local Computer and Next, Select
the ADAM instance service account (default name instance1) from the
list box, Click Finish.

The recipe that I use is here:

Thanks. We've finally got it going with a selfSSL-generated cert.
Things are starting to make sense.
