Hi there,


Currently the company that I am working for has two
forests and want to consolidate them into one. The
scenario is as follows:

We have an Win2K3 AD forest in Boston, lets call it
boston.com and we have another one in New York, lets call
it ny.com. They both have independent Exchange
organizations. Our goal is to have the new york domain as
a child domain to the boston domain (ny.boston.com) and
also have the New York exchange organization merged with
the Boston organization.

What would be the best approach? Can you please point me
to any KBs and/or Best practice articles for this
scenario.

IMO you shoudl take following approach:
- create child domain in boston.com called ny.boston.com
- Using ADMTv2 migrate domain resources from the ny.com to ny.boston.com

I don't know what You mean by merge new york exchange organization with
boston - do You want to migrate Exchange mailboxes from ny.com to
boston.com or do You want to create Exchange organisation in
ny.boston.com and migrate mailboxes to this organization.

Migration with ADMT and Exchange Migration Wizard should be what You need.
