Is there a way to have multiple LU's mapped to multiple
printers on a single workstation, or server. We would
like to have our printers controlled from a small number
of print workstations/servers.

We need to have the ability to statically map particular
LU's to printer queues on this workstation/server for
about 500 LU's/printers.

Can this be done?

Yes you can do this if I understand your question.

We do this now for about 700 printers.

You can assign the printer LU(s) to the print queues under the SNA print
service using the SNA Manager Console. We created all of our queues locally
on the SNA / HIS Servers and made sure that we did not use and OEM drivers if
at all possible. This can cause problems. We distributed our print sessions
across multiple SNA Servers. Also we were using Windows 2000 and Windows
2003. In that environment we made sure we did not have any NT drivers.
Getting formatted printing working can be a little trickey sometimes but so
far we have been able to get just about any report the users needed working
on Host Integration Server.
