AD problems |
|
|
Hi!
Installed Exchange 2003 on our Windows Server 2003 today.
After installation and reboot, the service Exchange information store is not
starting.
Error 0 (0x0). And event id 7024.
I cannot start this service at all....
Can this be a ad problem? DNS/Domain trouble?
I installed this server 2003 and promoted it to dc in a windows 2000 domain.
But, there was little trouble with replication and so on... It is a single
label domain.
Where to start?

Single Labeled Domains is not supported for Exchange, and are strongly not
recommended. Please use an FQDN Domain name.

Ok, then I understand there´s problem. What can I do to solve this... is
there anything I can do?
In the old windows 2000 dc there´s some kind of "ghost" domain name like
server1.localhost.se, maybe there was a disjointed namespace before.
But everything seems to run single label domain name.
Is there any way to force a dc to be Global Catalog, if I can´t reach the dc
who holds this?
Thanks for the reply

If you running Windows2000 your only option is to rebuild the domain, e.g
demote all DCs and promote them again with a new domain name.

replication of gc to pass through....
